Knitting tension
10 cm solid color stocking stitch on Pinne 6 mm=13 stitches
10 cm pattern knit on Pinne 7 mm = 13 stitches
(The stated needle size is only a guide. If you get more stitches than stated in 10 cm, go up one needle size. If you get fewer stitches than stated in 10 cm, go down one needle size. Pay attention to the knitting tension on the pattern).

Yarn: Alafosslopi
Yarn options: Troll and/or Blåne fur wool yarn from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk (100% Norwegian wool). These yarns are somewhat thinner than Alafosslopi, so you may need to increase the needle size by 0.5 mm from what is stated. Always knit a test swatch before you begin.
You can also use Snorre from Vikinggarn, which is a merino yarn if you want an itch-free sweater.
