Most people knit tighter on the pattern than they do when knitting plain stockinette stitch. I have therefore included in the pattern that you should go up half a needle size when knitting the pattern. Knitting tension varies from person to person, so always knit a test swatch before you start.

Yarn
Luna, Vidde and/or Varde from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk, Lettlopi from Istex, Fivel from Rauma or Viking wool from Vikinggarn.

Amount of yarn
This sweater is perfect for using up scrap yarn. You can also use the same color in several places to make a version with fewer colors. For example, you can use the same color on base color and pattern color 3. You can also use the same color on pattern colors 1 and 6 or 2 and 5 if you want a version with fewer colors.

Buttons if you are knitting a hood. You will need 3 (3) 3 (4) 4 (4) 4 (4) buttons in sizes 18-22 depending on how big you want the buttons to be.
