Most people knit tighter on patterns than they do when they knit plain stockinette. I have therefore included in the pattern that you should go up half a needle size when you knit the pattern. Knitting strength varies from person to person and always knit a test piece before you start.

Double pointed needles 2.5 and 3 mm
Circular needle 40 cm or 50 cm long (depending on the size you knit) 2.5 mm, 3 mm and 3.5 mm
