KNITTING TENSION
10 cm solid color stocking stitch on

Pinne 6.5 mm = 13 stitches
10 cm pattern knit on

Pinne 7 mm = 13 stitches

Most people knit tighter in patterns than they do when knitting solid color stocking stitch. That's why I've included in the pattern that you should go up half a needle size when knitting patterns. Knitting tension varies from person to person so always knit a sample before you start.
