In 2017, I launched the pattern for The Wilderness Sweater. Almost a decade later, this is still my most popular design! I have now finally created a thicker children's version, knitted in Icelandic wool. You can find yarn kits HERE

Gauge:
10 cm stockinette stitch with one color on needles 5.5 (6) 6 (6) 6 (6) 6 mm = 14 (13) 13 (13) 13 (13) 13 stitches
10 cm colorwork on needles 6.5 (7) 7 (7) 7 (7) 7 mm = 14 (13) 13 (13) 13 (13) 13 stitches
(The suggested needle size is indicative only. If you get more stitches than indicated per 10 cm, go up a needle size. If you get fewer stitches than indicated per 10 cm, go down a needle size).

Yarn: Alafosslopi from Istex

Yarn alternative: Troll and/or Blåne from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk. If you use these yarns, you may need to go up a needle size as they are slightly thinner than Alafosslopi.

Pattern color 1: 100 grams
Pattern color 2: 100 grams
Pattern color 3: 100 grams (if you knit a high neck in sizes 10 and 12 years, you need 200 grams)

Circular needles 50 cm, 60 cm or 80 cm (depending on size) = 4.5 mm, 5.5 (6) 6 (6) 6 (6) 6 mm and 6.5 (7) 7 (7) 7 (7) 7 mm
