Gauge
10 cm of plain stockinette stitch on 4.5 mm needles = 18 stitches
10 cm of colorwork on 5 mm needles = 18 stitches
10 cm in height = 24 rows

Most people knit tighter when doing colorwork than when knitting plain stockinette stitch. I have therefore included in the pattern that you should go up half a needle size when knitting colorwork at the top of the sleeves and body, and on the yoke. Gauge varies from person to person, so always knit a swatch before you begin.

What is the difference between Luna, Vidde and Varde from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk?
All three yarns are Norwegian-made yarns from 100% Norwegian wool. The yarns are made from wool from different Norwegian sheep breeds, which gives different textures and feels to the garment. You can easily combine them.

Luna is made from 100% white lamb's wool and is the softest of these three yarns. The colors are very clear.
Vidde is made from white lamb's wool and grey pelt wool, which gives the colors a melange effect.
Varde is made from 100% pelt wool from Norwegian pelt sheep. This is a melange and lustrous yarn.
