Sizes
1 year (2 years) 4 years (6 years) 8 years (10 years)

Gauge
10 cm in stockinette stitch with 3.5 mm needles = 22 stitches
10 cm in colorwork with 4 mm needles = 22 stitches

Most knitters knit tighter when doing colorwork than when knitting plain stockinette. Therefore, I have included in the pattern that you should go up half a needle size when knitting colorwork. Gauge varies from person to person, so always knit a swatch before you begin.

For summer use, you can use Line from Sandnes Garn or Bamboo from Viking Garn. Double Sunday is a merino yarn and can also be used.

Needles (suggested only)
Double-pointed needles 3 and 3.5 mm.
Circular needles 50 cm, 60 cm, and 80 cm long (depending on size), 3 mm, 3.5 mm, and 4 mm.
