10 cm stockinette stitch, single colour, needle 6 mm = 14 stitches
10 cm colourwork, needle 6.5 mm = 14 stitches
Most people knit tighter when doing colourwork than when knitting single-coloured stockinette stitch. I have therefore included in the pattern that you should go up half a needle size when knitting colourwork. Gauge varies from person to person, so always knit a swatch before you begin.
Yarn: Vams from Rauma.
Yarn alternative: Hipwool from HipKnitShop. This is a good alternative if you want a softer sweater that you won't necessarily be moving around much in. Hipwool is much denser than Vams, which means it breathes less.
