10 cm stockinette stitch with 6 mm needles = 14 stitches
10 cm colorwork with 6.5 mm needles = 14 stitches
Most people knit tighter when doing colorwork than when knitting plain stockinette stitch. I have therefore included in the pattern that you should go up half a needle size when knitting colorwork. Gauge varies from person to person, so always knit a swatch before you begin.
Yarn: Vams from Rauma.
Yarn alternative: Hipwool from HipKnitShop. This is a good alternative if you want a softer sweater that you won't necessarily move around in a lot. Hipwool is much denser than Vams, which means it breathes less.
