Yarn alternative: Vams from Rauma. If you are knitting with Vams, I recommend going down half a needle size so the sweater is knitted on 6 and 6.5 mm needles. Remember to knit a swatch before you start, so you are sure you have the correct gauge. HipWool is a very soft yarn, but is much denser than Vams. If you plan to move around a lot in the sweater, I recommend using Vams as it is much more breathable.
