Femund Headband (digital pattern)

Femund Headband - Digital knitting pattern developed by Linka Neumann in collaboration with Femundløpet VM 2025.

Measure around your head to find the correct size. The headband will stretch somewhat with use, so choose a size that is slightly shorter in circumference than your head measurement.

Size: Child (XS/S) M/L (XL)

Gauge: 10 cm patterned stockinette stitch on needle 4 (3) 3.5 (4) mm = 22 (24) 23 (22) stitches
(The stated needle size is only a guide. If you get more stitches than stated for 10 cm, go up one needle size. If you get fewer stitches than stated for 10 cm, go down one needle size).

Yarn: Sol lamull yarn from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk. If you are sensitive to wool, you can use a merino yarn for the folded edges, such as Double Sunday from Sandnes garn.

Circumference: 40 (50) 53 (55) cm
Height: 9 (11) 11 (12) cm

Yarn Quantity:
Pattern color 4: 50 grams
Pattern colors 1, 2, 3: Use leftover yarn.

Needles:
Circular needle 3 (2.5) 3 (3) mm and 4 (3) 3.5 (4) mm, 50 (or 40) cm long depending on the size you are knitting.
