Gauge
10 cm stockinette stitch with one color on 6 mm needles = 13 stitches
10 cm colorwork on 7 mm needles = 13 stitches
(The given needle size is for guidance only. If you get more stitches than stated for 10 cm, go up one needle size. If you get fewer stitches than stated for 10 cm, go down one needle size. Pay attention to the gauge for the pattern).

Yarn: Alafosslopi

Yarn alternative: Troll and/or Blåne pelsullgarn from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk (100% Norwegian wool). These yarns are somewhat thinner than Alafosslopi, so you may need to increase the needle size by 0.5 mm from what is stated. Always knit a swatch before you begin.
You can also use Snorre from Vikinggarn, which is a merino yarn, if you want a non-itchy sweater.
