Okapigenser knitting pattern. The Okapigenser is a “spinoff” of a pattern I made for my interior design book, which was published in 2021. I felt that the pattern deserved to be more than a pillow. I had to work a little to be happy with the pattern, but now I love it and want to knit it in all possible colors! The pattern is originally inspired by African patterns, which I think are absolutely amazing. Enjoy knitting! Yarn packages here

Knitting tension
10 cm stocking stitch on Pinne 6.5 mm = 13 stitches
10 cm pattern knit on Pinne 7.5 mm = 13 stitches
(The needle size given is only a guide. If you get more stitches than given on 10 cm, go up one needle size. If you get fewer stitches than given on 10 cm, go down one needle size).

Yarn : Troll and/or Blåne from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk. The sweater can also be knitted in Alafosslopi. Alafosslopi is a thicker yarn than Troll and Blåne, so you can go down half a needle size from what is stated. Alafosslopi also has a slightly shorter running length.

This sweater has a range of motion of between 5 and 10 cm. If you want a more oversized sweater, go up one size from what you usually wear.
