This sweater is knitted a little differently. Pattern color 1 and pattern color 6 are the same, and pattern color 2 and 5 are the same. The yarn quantity given is therefore only estimated. The hood is orange, so there is an extra skein of orange in this yarn kit.

Most knitters tend to knit tighter when doing colorwork than when knitting stockinette stitch with a single color. Therefore, I have included in the pattern that you should go up half a needle size when knitting colorwork. Gauge varies from person to person, so always knit a swatch before you begin.

Luna, Vidde and/or Varde from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk, Lettlopi from Istex, Fivel from Rauma or Viking wool from Vikinggarn.

This sweater is perfect for using up leftover yarn. You can also use the same color in multiple places to create a version with fewer colors. For example, you can use the same color for the main color and pattern color 3. You can also use the same color for pattern colors 1 and 6 or 2 and 5 if you want a version with fewer colors.
