10 cm stockinette stitch with a single color on 6 mm needles = 14 stitches
10 cm stranded colorwork on 6.5 mm needles = 14 stitches
Most people knit tighter when doing stranded colorwork than when knitting plain stockinette stitch with a single color. I have therefore included in the pattern that you should go up half a needle size when knitting the colorwork pattern. Gauge varies from person to person, so always knit a swatch before you begin.
Yarn: Vams from Rauma.
Yarn alternative: Hipwool from HipKnitShop. This is a good alternative if you want a softer sweater that you won't necessarily be moving around in much. Hipwool is much denser than Vams, which means it breathes less.
