Gauge
10 cm stockinette stitch, single color, needle 6 mm = 14 stitches
10 cm patterned stitch, needle 6.5 mm = 14 stitches

Most knitters knit tighter with patterned stitches than with single-color stockinette. Therefore, I have included in the pattern that you should go up half a needle size when knitting the pattern. Gauge varies from person to person, so always knit a swatch before you begin.

Yarn: Vams from Rauma.

Yarn alternative: Hipwool from HipKnitShop. This is a good alternative if you want a softer sweater that you won't necessarily be moving around in much. Hipwool is much denser than Vams, which means it breathes less.
