Sizes 1-3 (3-6) 6-9 (12) months
Gauge
10 cm stockinette stitch with 3 mm needles = 28 stitches
10 cm stranded colorwork with 3.5 mm needles = 28 stitches

Most people knit tighter when doing stranded colorwork than when knitting plain stockinette stitch. I have therefore included in the pattern that you should go up half a needle size when knitting stranded colorwork. Gauge varies from person to person, and always knit a swatch before you begin.

Recommended needles
DPNs 2.5 and 3 mm
Circular needle 40 cm or 50 cm long (depending on size you are knitting) 2.5 mm, 3 mm and 3.5 mm
