In 2019, I launched the pattern for Alasuq POLAR. Almost a decade later, it is still one of my most popular designs! Now I have finally created a thicker children's version knitted in Icelandic wool. You can find yarn kits HERE

Gauge:
10 cm stockinette stitch on needles 5.5 (6) 5.5 (6) 5.5 (6) 6 mm = 14 (13) 14 (13) 14 (13) 13 stitches
10 cm pattern knitting on needles 6.5 (7) 6.5 (7) 6.5 (7) 7 mm = 14 (13) 14 (13) 14 (13) 13 stitches
(The specified needle size is only a guide. If you get more stitches than indicated for 10 cm, go up a needle size. If you get fewer stitches than indicated for 10 cm, go down a needle size).

Yarn: Alafosslopi from Istex

Yarn alternative: Troll and/or Blåne from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk. If you use these yarns, you may need to go up a needle size as they are slightly thinner than Alafosslopi.

Pattern color 1: 100 grams
Pattern color 2: 100 grams
Pattern color 3: 100 grams
Pattern color 4: A few grams. Feel free to use scrap yarn.
